Well are you really close friends or putting on a show to get intimate with one another?Almost any 2 people can get along in the bed room. Its when you are NOT in the bed room that tells whether or not a relationship will work out.If you only get along in bed, and fight the rest of time its divorce city baby.If you are best friends tho, you will have love AND respect for each other and get along ANYWHERE in the house or outside the house. The only time it doesnt work is when one or both parties have been putting up a front and both parties become sexually intimate and they blindfolds come off the fronts come down and they see each other as they really are and realize they arent compatible at all and part company. They hurt for losing the intimacy and the friendship.

In some relationships it is better to have some common ground to form a serious partnership. I think you both need to talk this through for a while before making a decision. You need to set your own pros and cons, eg; liking similar things is good for now and when you have been together for a long time. You need something to do together that will sustain you both when your children dont need you any more. Good luck. Talk to each other.

There are many pros. However, once you become involved in a relationship, it would be very hard to go back to being just friends. It is possible, but very very hard. If you have mutual friends and things might not work out, it might be awkward. I suggest not to focus on the bad stuff, but enjoy it!!! Take it a step at a time. :)

P.S. I don't know if it is true or not, but I heard that no guy wants to be "just friends."

The pros are that you and your partner will already be friends, you'll know their likes and dislikes. The other side to that and i wouldn't call then cons,is that your relationship will be on a more personal level. You both will expect certain thing of the other that you would not want then to do as a friend.

well it usually turns out to be a very good relationship b/c since u 2 were friends already it makes u 2 really close already and u kno a lot about eachothers life, personality, etc.

then again it could be bad, if u 2 were to break up, depending on how u 2 broke up, u would loose eachother completely, and u would loose everything u 2 had in yalls friendship

I really don't see any cons because if they are you best friend and they already know your faults and have talked to you about them so the only thing that need to be worked out are all the good thing that you havent shared with him or her, likw what side you sleep on and what you look like in the morning. after a long night....

Pros- you two already know eachother, so you can act like yourselves when on a date, etc.

Cons- If it doesn't work out, there is a chance that you two won't be friends anymore.

You people kill me.

10 years after marriage, don't women debate whether they have "friendships" with their mates?

How about this one:

Friendship is the best basis for any relationship, including romantic engagements. Where else will you find the requisite respect?
