no conspiracy but definetly an indoctrination effort, you'd be blind not to see it. If they're pushing an ideology than it goes far beyond an objective education.

I think what Martin is saying is the reasoning behind this "tolerance". This "tolerance" says that anything goes. But then you have this problem. If you make a distinction between homosexuality and rape, you make that distinction on the basis of what? What moral standard are you using? If you make a distinction , then there is a right and there is a wrong. Moral relativism has no leg to stand on, it's full of wholes.

thank you for answering Catherine, Now that we're done with the name calling, let's begin an intellectual disscussion of the issues, shall we? Rape is wrong and homosexuality is right. On the BASIS of WHAT are you making that distinction?

Because the gay movement has been working secretly since the 1950s to become mainstream and accepted, and now has infiltrated our schooling systems. We have teachers and administrators who are part of this movement, trying to get our kids to accept it as a normal way to be. There is an anti-gay movement out there too, but its 50+ years behind the gay movement.

I've not heard that teachers or school administrators are encouraging children to become homosexuals. This sound a bit like "televangelist devil-around-every-corner" stuff. Trying to get children to accept that there are many different kinds of people and families in the world does NOT amount to encouraging them to BE gay. In no way does that make sense.

Edit:

Why is rape wrong and homosexuality right?

The question makes no sense. If you wish to make a point at all the question should be why is rape unacceptable and homosexuality acceptable behavior. No one has suggested that homosexuality is "right" merely that it is an acceptable behavior. Saying it is right is like saying having blue eyes is "right" or being right-handed is "right".

Now, rape is both wrong and unacceptable because invariably the victim is horribly harmed. Whereas with a homosexual relationship no one is harmed anymore than one would be in a heterosexual relationship. The same rules apply, as long as both parties are of legal age and consenting there is no harm. Surely you do not suggest that involvement in a homosexual relationship is like being raped. And no, there is almost as much possibility for disease in a heterosexual relationship as there is in a homosexual relationship. Just ask all of the heterosexuals who suffer with AIDS.

An act of rape is one that is done to exert force over, to harm, and to do violence physically, emotionally and spiritually to another person. Homosexuality is not inherently an act that is done to do any of these things any more than heterosexuality is.

You don't know the difference between homosexuality and rape? Homosexuality is a consensual act. Rape is a violent attack against another person. Are you honestly that stupid? Don't even compare the two!
And they aren't PUSHING homosexuality in schools. They're just telling bigots like you that they're not going to tolerate your hateful attacks anymore. It just seems to you like they're pushing it because people like you obsess about it and won't shut up about it. Grow up.

There's nothing "intellectual" about your question. It's a question based on hate fueled by religion. If you were even remotely an "intellectual", you wouldn't need to ask what the moral difference between rape and homosexuality is. It is only an opinion that homosexuality is immoral, based on something written in a book 2000 years ago by people who thought that illness was caused by demons, and didn't know enough to keep their excrement out of their food. Nobody is hurt by homosexuality any more than they are by any other sexual act between consenting adults. Rape is an intentionally and extremely violent act against another person. It ruins lives. You want to know why I call you a bigot? Because I work with rape victims, and they would vomit if they saw this question. Your religion-based hatred of homosexuals is far more immoral than what they do consensually behind closed doors. It can't even be COMPARED to rape. Your question is ignorant and disgusting, and you should be ashamed of yourself for being such a hateful person.

As many homosexuals themselves admit, a major reason why they want marriage is not so much to be like heterosexuals, or because they want to abandon their more free and promiscuous lifestyle, but because of its symbolic value. It will give them public recognition, approval and acceptance. This has long been the overriding goal of the homosexual lobby: complete social and public endorse-ment and approval. Thus by getting marriage rights, and, in turn, the last hurdle for homosexuals, full adoption rights, homosexuals will have achieved their longstanding goal: legitimizing the homosexual lifestyle.
A leading American homosexual who has championed the cause of same-sex marriage, Jonathan Rauch, admits that this will be an important effect of same sex marriage: “it will ennoble and dignify gay love and sex as it has done straight love and sex”. Exactly, but such a dangerous threat to public health and safety should not be ennobled or dignified, certainly not by governments who have the duty and responsibility to promote the health and wellbeing of all its citizens.
Indeed, the bottom line of all homosexual activism is ultimately just that: complete social acceptance and approval. As Kirk and Madsen put it back in 1989, “to gain straight tolerance and acceptance is not just a legitimate goal of gay activism, it must be the principal goal.”
Plenty of other homosexual activists have admitted as much. For example, same-sex marriage advocate Arthur Leonard put it this way: “Legal recognition of same-sex couples would have the effect over time of ‘normalizing’ such relationships. . . . Those who argue that the gay rights movement is out to transform society by getting people to view gay people as ‘normal’ are completely correct.”
The activists realise that the majority will not acknowledge normalcy concerning the homosexual lifestyle, so they must resort to bypassing the public will and the legislative process, using instead the blunt instrument of judicial activism. It is the activist courts who are forcing the homosexual lifestyle on the rest of society, whether they like it or not.

Maybe because people have since starting opening more up.
In our time /s changing so fast, lots of changes not just homosexuality.
Today I see that anything goes.
More people just being their self's are at lest just trying to fit in the best they can or best way.
As you did say-," If you look hard enough, you'll find out it's happening all over."

For better or worse - This is our world like never before.

Ps. As for me I'm still lost in space.

There are a variety of reasons for it. Most of them have their root in secular humanism where there is no objective standard of right and wrong and what is true for one person may or may not be true for another person.

Of course when people like that are put to the test by being given hypothetical scenarios like "if someone thinks that it is right to rape your wife and kill your children does that make it right because they believe that it's right?" they soon start to make concessions on their premises.

If you look hard enough you can see whatever you want.

When you are a homophobe, as you may be, I guess it is no wonder that you would think there is some consipriacy to make everyone gay.

Martin:
There is a big difference between allowing others to have consenting adult sex and allowing murder and rape.

I disagree with your view. I do not believe it is homosexuality that is being pushed. What is being pushed is tolerance of all people no matter how they differ from you. Recently there have been a large number of harassment cases against homosexuals and that cannot be tolerated in a society such as ours. As we are taught in the Bible, hate the sin but love the sinner.

Sigh. And you are not pushing your point of view? Intolerance is ridiculous. STOP PUSHING YOUR BELIEFS ON OTHER PEOPLE!! You can't ban something just because you don't agree with it. Gay people can no more change their sexual attractions than you or I. You must be one of those people who see homosexuality as a disease. "Same Sex Attraction Disorder". Just keep it to yourself, OK?
