Where can/can't ultralights take off/land?

Grass fields or strip are usually where they takeoff and land. Some small airports allow ultralights.

Larger airport do not.

The nice thing about ultralights is the don't need to much runway. They take off and land in a fairly short distance.

I have not ever flown one but they look like they could be fun.
