This treatment repairs split ends, helps with dandruff, and makes your hair shiny, and silky.

1)Simply take a couple of tablespoons of olive oil between your palms and rub them together to warm it a bit.

2)Then massage the oil into your scalp.

3)Take the remaining oil on your hands and spread it down from the scalp to the end of your hair.

4) Put a shower cap on and leave it on for about 25-30 minutes.

5) Shampoo as usual.

I love Olive Oil for my hair. Everyone I know that uses it swears by it. Here's my regimen:

-Use about 3 tablespoons (or depending on your hair, enough to saturate the length of the hair.)
-Grab a plastic cap or even a plastic shopping bag and cover the hair
-Either sit under the dryer for 30 minutes or blast your hair with a hair dryer
-Rinse it out with warm water
-Shampoo once
-Then do a final rinse with cold water for shine

Seems long, but its not really and you'll love your hair after!

I have never heard of using olive oil but I would think about the same as a hot oil treatment. I would think if you put to much in you would have to wash it twice as much to get it out.
