There are anti-viral shots that can make you get well sooner. If doctor shy like me, then start with real chicken soup, lots of clear broth if you're sick to your stomach. Ginger ale is always good, stick to clear fluids and non-dairy products. Also not good to eat foods with active yeasts and bacteria like yogurt. Drink green tea with honey. If you can drink fresh orange juice. Buy some Cold-eeze losenges with zinc and extra vit. c. I always feel better when taking a combination of echinacea, vit. c., vit e, royal jelly, some saint john's wort, bilberry extract and l lysine. that last will help to prevent cold sores. there are a ton of natural herb supplements that will strengthen your immune system, like ginseng extract, b-vit complex, get a paperback of herbal remedies and expect to drop fifty or sixty dollars initially. after you have your basic supplements supplied it's easier to keep up your supply. feverfew is another one. eating natural foods is always the best though. the best known antioxidant fruit is the blueberry and rosehips make the most easily soluble vit c. hope you feel better soon.

If you have pneumonia, you need to go to the hospital and have a chest x-ray done. It's an infection, and needs serious antibiotics. Worry about the foods that stimulate your immune system after you get your diagnosis. Lots of vitamin C never hurts, btw.
