Prostitution exists during our fore fathers just like racism but there are no ways to curb or overcome. The only way is to legalise them and increase their benefits rather allowing illegal prostitutes roaming the island.
The brothel owners are responsible to hire good looking and diseases free women. They should also provide accommodation, medical, insurance and even annual & urgent leaves. A happy worker brings a happy customers and after all they are providing services. The brothel owners too must be responsible in providing good customer service and if they have a bad attitude staff, they should deport them.
In these case the prostitutes will be not be ill treated or they ill treat thier customers.
Time to look after prostitues rather curbing them.

Sngapore is a very very stressful country, you have to work even till 90 is your saving is not enough for retirement. As the Government althought have imposed high tax, charges (like Duty, COE, ERP and etc), but they will not take care of you at your old age. Worse, now most company offer contract jobs. As a Singaporean, I have no bit of security for the future, and prostitution is one of the way to relief stress. Singapore also have no much activities for leisure, without prostitution, so much stress could lead to more crimes.

Please do not take issue with our founding father. His views on comfort women are well known. Prostitutes in Singapore act on willing seller, willing buyer basis. Help keep the place free of rapists and molesters. Or do you want the 'one finger in and and one finger out' experience like what our famous blogger described in her new year party encounter in Orchard rd.
