Where can I find inexpensive picture frames? I need quite a few for a project I am doing and I am going to paint them anyway so I don't need them to be fancy. Any ideas?

Try a Goodwill store... they have lots of frames people donate and they price them cheap. Sometimes you can even haggle with the price....especially if you're buying a lot of them. A dollar store is also a good place to look although the frames aren't of great quality.

Try CVS, or an AC Moore type store... a lot of craft stores will have reasonably inexpensive frames, especially unfinished wooden ones, which will be fine if you're painting them anyway.

The JoAnn Fabric store in our area seems to have picture frames on sale all the time - I've gotten some great buys there.

Try a dollar store or sometimes KMart has them pretty cheap. Also you can watch for sales at Michael's craft store. At least a couple of times a year they have half price sales and I usually stock up because I am a photographer.

You might try Ikea if you have one nearby. I found some for .99 that were completely bare wood and perfect for painting.
