FYI. one does not generally have acne at that age..Usually long gone way before 70 hon.LOL

BTW: you cant over estimate the power of good genes, keeping your face clean, sunshine fresh air and diet and lots of water(lay off the pop)and in some cases, Beef can really do a number on males' faces so dont over eat it.Most of us outgrow it but it wouldnt hurt to see a dermatologist for an expert opinion. There are medications and pills they can prescribe that often help. Some things work for some but not others. My oldest daughter is now 24 but she had lots of skin problems for about 5 years and Pro Active was one product that did not work for her. It just cleared up eventually.

Does your mom have a Costco card? They have a product there that is the same as Proactiv, but it is only $27 for a 3 month supply. My step-daughter uses this and it works just as good as the Proactiv.

proactiv is like most acne clearing products. mostly to see results, you have to stick with one product for a period of time. if you keep switching like everyday, youre skin wont clear up. there is always a risk of skin irritation with new products, it depends on your skin type. generally though, proactiv is for serious acne and since you just want to prevent it id say that you could go for the cheaper product. clean and clear is also very effective.
