I have a C-J 7, my uncle had a 5. I don't think that there is much leg room difference, but there is noticeable difference in the rear space behind the back seat.

CJ5 had a wheel base of 81" and the CJ7 was 93". How much more leg room was that...don't know. but it was 12 in longer

There is no difference. The body panels are the same and the chassis is the same. The difference is in the wheel base. Which does not affect the leg room.

Same amount of leg room really for front passengers, its the rear passengers that are pretty cramped.

I'm 6ft and sat down in a 89 wrangler and it is alittle tight for me.
