It rests in my closet. I had to throw out about ten stone tablets to make room for all of my porn mags. I found the Ark in a flea market in New Zealand in the summer of 1994. I paid $25. I had originally put it in my living room, but people kept saying it looked "tacky". I decided to move it the closet. But it had these bird like things on top of it. So it wouldn't fit. I had to take a blow torch to cut them bird things off. That Ark thing is heavy. I have no intention of moving it out of the closet.

The ark is mentioned in the book of Revelation when John saw it in heaven.
Revelation 11:19 And the temple of God was opened in heaven, and there was seen in his temple the ark of his testament: and there were lightnings, and voices, and thunderings, and an earthquake, and great hail.
I believe this is the last time the ark was seen in the Bible and since it hasn't been seen after that, we have to assume that it is in heaven.
I find it hard to believe that it could have been hidden and not found or it's whereabouts made known for so many years. The ark of course has a huge significance in that it showed God's presence with His people. When Christ died the veil dividing the holiest of holies from the rest of the temple was rent or split open revealing the fact that the ark was gone signifying a change in the covenant in which the covenant is open to all believers and not just one particular race. I tend to believe that the disappearance of the ark was a supernatural event that has a literal meaning and that it is in fact, as John witnessed, in heaven.

Under the temple mount in Jerusalem. They have all the materials ready to build the temple and they have replica objects, but the do not have a replica of the Ark of the Covenant because they plan on having the real one there. But only time will tell what happens.

Some believe it is in Ethiopia - brought back by the Queen of Sheba after visiting King Solomon. Highly doubtful.
It's was probably hidden in a cave somewhere around Jerusalem before the Babylonians attacked. Ron Watt thinks he found it and had some blurry photos in which you couldn't make out anything to prove anything. I wouldn't go by what he says if I were you.
Of course, some think it was taken to heaven by God.
No way to know until Jesus comes back. I doubt anyone will ever find it.

I believe the government put it in a crate and then hid it in a warehouse.
No wait, that was Indiana Jones.....
Actually, when the Jews returned after the Babylonians destroyed Solomon's Temple in 586 B.C., it was missing, and has not been seen since. Yet given how Judaism has invented and exaggerated its past, it's doubtful that it ever existed. After all, the Ark was supposed to have resided in Solomon's Temple, and the 2nd Temple was supposed to have been built on the previous temple's ruins, yet Israeli archaeologist have been looking in vain for any evidence of Solomon's Temple since the 1950's. And so far have found no hard evidence that this mythical Temple ever existed.

Some people believe it to be hidden in the caves below the former temple in Jerusalem, others believe it to be in Africa or one of the many other rumored resting places. Personally, I believe God took it up into heaven after Jesus died on the cross.
For more info check out Wikipedia. (It has some of the proposed resting places there)
