we have been seeing each other for about 6 month i want to treat her and surprise her to something special. looking at about £2000 for flights and hotel. any ideas? if you have actually been there even better!

I'd really recommend Venice. I know it sounds like it'll be really packed and full of tourists and thus unromantic, but if you stay the night there, once the day-trippers have left, there are just so many quiet little canals and tiny dark paths where you can be alone together (with a few cats), no loud roaring cars, all sounds are muffled. Quiet and romantic, if that's your thing. I've been there recently (though not on a romantic holiday, just sightseeing) and I thought it would be a huge let-down (too many people) but it's just so easy to lose the crowds.
Don't really know about costs, as they would depend on where you're going from, might be an idea to go by train though if you're in the same continent--give you more time alone in private with your girlfriend if you take a sleeper!

I don't know what it would cost but I would recommend Sandals in the Bahamas. All inclusive. After you pay the booking price and flight you don't spend anything else unless you go to the gift shop, order very expensive wine, or scuba dive. Food, alcohol, beach, etc. are all included and they don't accept tips. You pay one price and that's it. No one under 18 is allowed unless you are there as part of a wedding party. It's fantastic! Been there 7 years in a row. No singles. Couples only. A lover's fantasy.

Bali, Indonesia...go to see the phenomenal beaches and lancscaping, having spa treatments and experience the different kind of cultures you never know...it's so romantic and exciting....go to dreamland, a place in Bali that's really awesome...

Just take her to Paris, For a week, Spend all day together being real flirty and just bang her senseless at night.
