They never had a prescription but it could cost them their job/future if they went to some clinic. They only need a week or 2.

Hon, you've got drug addiction, and you run a GREATER risk of losing your job/career/future if you get caught buying a prescription drug without the script than you would if you went to a drug rehab to detox. Detoxing on your own is a highly dangerous thing, and can and has lead to the death of those who try it alone. This isn't like quitting smoking, drug detoxing is something that needs to be monitored carefully by someone in the medical field trained to deal with patients with withdrawl symptoms.

Get yourself some help. You'll be better off.

Weaning off Lortab is dangerous. The person needs help. There was a law enacted called the HIPPA. Basically it says no one without written permission from you can see your medical / health related records. If they snoop, you can sue. Take the individual to a family doctor, instacare or ER. Coming off Lortab will not be pleasant. They will need supportive assistance possibly with breathing incredible headaches and severe vomiting which could lead to dehydration and a Lortab build-up. Exactly what you do not want to happen. Even if the individual gets into trouble with the law or work or anything else - Do you want to live, or do you want Lortab?

Unless they have a prescription, there is no where they can get it. It's a controlled substance, you even need a drivers license to get it from the pharmacy. The best thing for someone like this is a drug rehab program, whether in patient or out patient. They need help with this. A counselor would be a good start. Drug addiction is a hard thing to go through, and they need help in keeping clean and not starting back up. It's also helpful for stopping. They really need help and shouldn't try to do it all on their own. Good luck and sorry there is no other info I can give you!!!
