First of all, it's a life long decision that could change everything about you and the direstion of the rest of your life. If it isn't a belief you have grown up with it's a decision you have to think long and hard about because it will not only affect you but your whole family. Most importantly, don't make the decision to please someone else such as a guy or girl. They need to accept who you are and not try to change who you are.

trust me.
find a local mosque and just ask to speak to the imam (like a priest) or the head of the mosque
and talk to that person and they would be able to help you out allot.

all you need to do is recite La illaha illa Allah, then muhammad is his messenger, its like muhammadu rasool Allah or something like that, thats it! its between YOU AND GOD and doesn't have to be some christian steps in the church process
