ok im a highschooler in Ohio and i asked this one guy asked me out.... i was born and lived in mexico for 1 year then i moved to the united states but one of his friends told him to not go out with me because im hispanic and not white but he is
thats like racism isnt it?
what should i say to him???????

Tell him he is racist, because that is exactly an action a racist person takes: not dating someone because they are different. And you really shouldn't give this guy another thought, because if he is going to forget about you just because his friend told him not to date you because you are Hispanic, that is the sign of an insecure person that you shouldn't be with.

One's a retard for saying it and the other isn't worth an ounce of **** if he believes it! I struggled with the same when we came to the US from Chihuahua years ago (I was 13 then). You'll find this at times, but it says more about them than it does about you. We come from a beautiful and rich culture, be proud and let no one reduce you because of it.
Don't be shy, also... step up and start a conversation with the guy you like and see where it goes. You'll know quickly whether he's worth it.

Yeah, babe, that is racism. You don't need him if he can't accept your background. I don't think that it should matter at all if you're from Mexico or Europe. It isn't fair to judge people like that and his freind shouldn't have done that. Unfortunately, there are tons of people like that, so you should find yourself someone who accepts you.

You shouldn't say anything. If he wont go out with you because of your race, then he is not the type of guy you are looking for.

you know what if this guy really likes you then he wouldnt care what race you are and if your race matters then i dont think that he is the right guy for you.
