Whiteheads are generally large, painful, and when you pop them they are filled with pus! They usually have a little white tip on top, hence the name.
Blackheads are just little black dots you see on your nose and in the depression in your chin. Sometimes, they have little bumps around them and if you squeeze little white snakes of pus will come out. Gross!

Blackheads are clogged pores, ones where the infection is inside the pore and hasn't come to the surface. White heads are infections that have come to the surface, and show as pus.

Blackheads are due to dirty skin. Whiteheads have infection, usually staphylococcus.

A white head is filled with pus.... while a balckhead is filled with dirt and other foreign particles
