Jehovah is just a very poor attempt to make יְהֹוָה pronouncable in English. It uses an Occult technique called Tetragrammaton
ps.
I don't know why people keep giving me the thumbs down on this I'm actualy right! Look it up people! Maybe the word Occult confuses them because they don't actualy understand what it means?

Jehovah is Almighty God, the one referred to as "the Father" by Christ Jesus. The name "Jehovah" is fun and easy to say for most speakers of English, which is why it was translated thusly from Hebrew.
The name "Jehovah" is an anglicization of the Hebrew name represented as "YHWH" and approximated by “Yahweh” or “Yehowah”, both somewhat awkward for English speakers. So, just as the Hebrew name “Yeshua” or “Yehoshua” was translated into “Jesus” in English, the Hebrew name “Yahweh” is translated into “Jehovah” in English.
The important thing is to use God’s personal name in whatever language you speak, rather than insisting upon the impersonal! The name “Yahweh” is certainly preferable to the non-name “God” or “Lord”, especially if you speak Hebrew. If you speak English, feel free to use the name "Jehovah".
(Psalms 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth
(John 17:26) [Jesus said] I have made your name known to them and will make it known, in order that the love with which you loved me may be in them

Jehovah is Jesus' Father and creator.
(John 14:28) YOU heard that I said to YOU, I am going away and I am coming [back] to YOU. If YOU loved me, YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am.
(Psalm 83:18) That people may know that you, whose name is Jehovah, You alone are the Most High over all the earth.

Tetragrammaton: "Tetra," in Greek means FOUR, and "grammaton," means LETTERS. It simply means "a four letter word."
The four letters put together (יהוה ) from the bible make "YHWH". It is the distinctive personal name of the God of Israel.
In Judaism, the Tetragrammaton is the ineffable Name of God, and is therefore not to be read aloud, only used silently in prayer. In the reading aloud of the scripture it is replaced with Adonai.
In history the original Greek was translated into English. From YHWH (vowels were added) Yahweh to Iehouah [AD 1530] to Iehovah [1611] and finally to Jehovah [1769].

Psalm 83:18 says: “You, whose name is Jehovah, you alone are the Most High over all the earth.”
15 God gave himself a name that is full of meaning. His name, Jehovah, means that God can fulfill any promise he makes and can carry out any purpose he has in mind. God’s name is unique, one of a kind. It belongs only to him. In a number of ways, Jehovah is unique. How is that so?
Jehovah is the most powerful being there is.
Jehovah—Who Is He?
The divine name is written in four Hebrew letters (הוהי) and occurs nearly 7,000 times in the Hebrew portion of the Bible. This name is considered to be the causative form of the Hebrew verb ha·wah′ (“to become”) and thus means “He Causes to Become.” In other words, Jehovah wisely causes himself to become whatever he needs to be in order to accomplish his purposes. He becomes Creator, Judge, Savior, Sustainer of life, and so forth, in order to fulfill his promises. What is more, the Hebrew verb takes the grammatical form that denotes an action in the process of being fulfilled. This indicates that Jehovah is still causing himself to become the fulfiller of his promises. Yes, he is a living God!

According to the original King James Bible, he is the most high over all the earth -God (Psalm 83:18). The name actually means "he causes to become" or "he shall prove to be what he shall prove to be" showing that God can bring about whatever he wants to happen.
