If you guys have a problem with things like Xmas, Birthdays, Easter etc. because of their Pagan origins - how do you handle things like, the names of the Days of the Week, planets and stars and even many place names which are all dedicated to Pagan gods?

Jehovah's Witnesses recognize the bible to teach that Christians have a relative subjection to secular governments, or "superior authorities".

(Romans 13:1) Let every soul be in subjection to the superior authorities... the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God

Bible students may recall that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were actually three Hebrews named Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah. The Babylonian government insisted that these faithful Jews use names which may have tended to glorify pagan gods, and these faithful Jews obediently used these distasteful Babylonian names. Yet later events clearly show these Hebrews to have had absolute integrity for true worship. Clearly, the matter of a distasteful name can be tolerated by true worshippers.

Like those faithful Hebrews, Jehovah's Witnesses refer to many units and places despite names which fail to honor God and Christ. Jehovah's Witnesses well-recognize that the names of planets and places and stars and weekdays were originally chosen to honor paganisms, such as the pagan worship of the Sun (Sunday), Moon (Monday), Oden (Wednesday), Thor (Thursday), and Saturn (Saturday). Jehovah's Witnesses recognize that secular governments have formally or informally established these names, and the Scriptural precedent allows true worshippers to tolerate their use.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate Christmas, Easter, or other observances because of their pagan origins. It is true that the days of the week and the planets in our solar system have pagan names. But we do not worship days of the week or planets. Neither do we worship objects with pagan names like a Mars candy bar or a car named Mercury or Saturn. These things have nothing to do with religion.

Here it is beneficial to be "reasonable." (Phil. 4:5 - "for 'the Lord' is near."
Whereas Christians today customarily use the calendar in effect in their particular land, they are aware that the God of eternity, Jehovah, has his own calendar of events not governed by human systems of reckoning. As his prophet Daniel wrote: “He is changing times and seasons, removing kings and setting up kings, giving wisdom to the wise ones and knowledge to those knowing discernment. He is revealing the deep things and the concealed things, knowing what is in the darkness; and with him the light does dwell.” (Daniel 2:21, 22) So, in his position as Universal Sovereign he stands far above our spinning earth, with its day and night, its lunar cycles, and its solar year. However, in his Word, the Bible, God does helpfully relate his actions and purposes to such measurements of time, thereby allowing his creatures on earth to learn where they stand in relation to his grand calendar of events. The Gregorian calendar used today has months named after the gods Janus and Mars, and the goddess Juno, as well as for Julius and Augustus Caesar, yet it continues to be used by Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians who are subject to “the superior authorities.”—Romans 13:1.

There will always be things that cannot be avoided. But than, they also know what Niacin 14 is, while other religions don't give a damn what happened on that day or why Christ said to keep it in memorial.

I'm not a JW but here's what I heard.

Iv'e asked a few door to door JW's about some of these issues and they had an answer to everything. and it was, quick, "change the subject"
Also to answer your Q about holidays. Yes, all are perhaps pagan based, but many celebrate our Lord. Truth is that the Only time in the new testament, that Christ asked to be remembered was when He offered up His body and blood in communion with the saints, just prior to His death.
