Why have so many commercials on the nascar race, when we watch to SEE the race?

Without the commercials the race would be on pay for view. I believe if your going to pay to watch a race it is better to be there in person.

Ok, I get the commercials equal revenue for the network but jeeze!! Enough already!! They know the races are watched by millions of people. I am a servicemember in Japan and I got up at 4:30 in the morning to watch... COMMERCIALS!!! Do they really need to do a 3 minute break for the same friggin commercials every 10 laps or so? Seriously the Daytona 500 was awful every 10-12 laps there was a break and even some of the wrecks(my favorite part) happened during commercials and no break through back to the race. Make the advertising cost a little more so we the viewers can see more racing.

Without the commercials, a necessary evil, we would have to go the pay for view route and that would hit between 40 and 80 bucks(estimate) per race.
So I guess I'll stick with the commercials for now.

My family and I love the NASCAR commercials! Of course, seeing them only once each race would be good.

Well, if you don't watch the commercials then you're stealing TV. Plus, how else would you know that Cingular is now the new AT&T?

if it wasnt for the commercials ABC, ESPN, and FOX would all be broke....but they do need to slack down a little
