I think science would say the brain.
I know for certain that electromagnetic impulses in the brain are most definately detectable by even crude scientific instruments. I would hazard a guess that these impulses are what man people actually consider the soul.. thoughts ideas memories...
ergo, i disagree, and suggest the soul is scientifically detectable

Is in everyone's heart.
Because is spiritual, no material artefact or any material machine can detected.
Therefore, the individual particle of spirit soul is a spiritual atom smaller than the material atoms, and such atoms are innumerable. This very small spiritual spark is the basic principle of the material body, and the influence of such a spiritual spark is spread all over the body as the influence of the active principle of some medicine spreads throughout the body. This current of the spirit soul is felt all over the body as consciousness, and that is the proof of the presence of the soul. Any layman can understand that the material body minus consciousness is a dead body, and this consciousness cannot be revived in the body by any means of material administration.

I would imagine that it is scientifically undetectable because scientists don't know how or what to look for. There is a life force that animates living beings and scientists can't tell you much about it. They can talk about electricity but once a person dies the most they can hope to do is restart their heart with a jolt of electricity. If the heart doesn't respond and keep beating they can't restore the vital essence to a person because they don't really know what it is.

It's there why do you think people that have a limb removed still want to scratch their feet or hands because the soul is whole. There was some research into this called Killian photography which could show the amputated limb the soul remains whole. We really will not know the truth until we pass. But it's there i assure you

its scientifically undetectable for the same reason pressure gauges are unable to detect light.
science simply isn't designed, at its current development, such as to be able to reach to that area.
does the fact that a pressure gauge, can't detect light, mean the light isn't there? no. it just means your using a tool not developed to detect that particular thing.
and as far as location.... its kinda like how you can't point to a spot on the brain and say "the memory of my 10th birthday party is stored on that spot!" its a holistic thing.
though some people once believed the "attachment point" was contained in the knot of bone where the spine fuses with the pelvis. from my understanding that chunk of bone was almost indestructable for most of human history.

Because it isn't made of atoms belonging to the physical plane of existence. Your soul is made of 'spirit' atoms which are basically on loan from the planes above the physical. This sets up a karmic loop that directs the soul towards evolving in the great scheme of things.
The problem with science is it fails to recognise anything it can't prove. I can't prove what I'm saying either, but I know it to be true.

The soul's existence has not been academically and scientifically "proven" in the laboratory to the satisfaction of scholars of all branches of learning; however, the non-existence of the soul has not been proved either.

The soul is my consciousness. I suppose its in my brain. It consist of the mind, the will, the intellect, and the emotions.
It connects the body and the spirit.

The soul is body with the breath in it, not some ghostly thing that flies away at death, because death is just the grave where the body rests until the breath is returned at the 2nd appearing of Christ. ie
BULB + ELECTRICITY = LIGHT
BODY + BREATH = SOUL
