The definition of religion is belief system so the point of religion is not to know if you knew there was one true religion than there would be no substance with religion you have to take the chance that you will be wrong that there is no nirvana no heaven no reincranation there is just death and if that is the case some people would say that religous peoples lives were wasted but again i disagree most religous borginizations help people and if you spent your life helping people or trying to save them from damnation than was it really a waste is it a waste to try to helpl people. Is it the tought that counts there are missionaries that go over to foreign countries and build hospitals wells help people to stay alive and why? when you boil it down they just want to help people to save them and is that wrong so to answer your question yes maybe there is no true religion maybe there is I guess we'll find out won't we but in the end does it matter If a person benefitted from it does it matter why the person was helped there are milliions of religions they can't all be right and maybe none of them are all i can say is that normally wether the religion is true or not it has helped at least one person yes warts have been caused because of religions many people have died but in their dying they were comforted that they had died for a purpose or that life would be rewarded later so did they die for a non existant cause but they are comforted religion is a major part of people's lives wether they are christian aethiest muslim or anything in between they are affected by it, it changes their lives so it may not be real but it is definately a waste

I know that my religion is true because I have faith in it and I believe in it. My faith has been tested many times and it has been proven again and again to be the truth. I have seen and witnessed miracles in my life, and they might not be a big deal to some but they are my own personal miracles and to me they are gigantic. These miracles to me have proven that my faith and beliefs in God are real.

I had doubts once that what I was raised to believe in was all a bunch of lies. I even strayed from my church and everything I believed in.

I'm open to all possibilities and I love to learn about other faiths. I refuse to impose my religion or beliefs on others. I respect what others believe in and I don't go around saying that their religion is bunch of lies.

All I can say is that my faith is deep and true and that is what matters to me ;)

I separate "religion" from God... My Faith is in God and God alone. Not some man invented and control ed "religion".... I was not looking for God on The Day of my Salvation... I was one who mocked people who "believed in all that God stuff... and was on the Day I learned The Truth,.. I got up a mocker and 4 hrs later I was of The True Christian Faith.

Faith not based on fact is fantasy... God is The Fact... I know for a fact that God is real and what he offers mankind is real... God is The Fact... and because of knowing God I know that what he promised me, and what he offers all who will come to Him, is The Truth...that is My Faith.... I did before think all the God stuff was imagination and lies... Now, from the instant of my
Salvation, I know The Truth.... I was 53 on that day and am now near 60 and I am still as certain as I was that first day... When you know The Truth there is no other way.

I'm an atheist and BEFORE YOU THINK ANYTHING, I know that I'm not supposed to answer this question but hey, it's a public forum and nobody's stopping me...so here I go:

They DON'T know that their religion is true, if they tell you they do, they're wrong. I'm sorry if this offends anyone but you don't know if it's right or not. I mean, not only there's no evidence, but if you actually think about it, religious stories don't make sense and are very unreal. If you believe in it (and I mean, if you're a very strong believer) then I understand how you might think that those stories are all 100% right.....just like I believe that they're all 100% wrong. I admit it, I don't know if they're wrong either, but that's what I believe, and you others believe the opposite. It's only a belief, and believing doesn't need proof , if you believe in it, you believe in it. Religious people can't prove it, atheists can't disprove it. That's all there is to it. So who's right? I don't think we'll ever find out.

No, thanks. Some people have religious believes b/c they were taught so when they were little kids. My case is quite different. In China less than 1 in 1 million people are Christians. My parents are not, nor are my grandparents or my brother. You know why and how God revealed His existance to me ? It would take 2000 words to explain that, and after you read that you won't believe it and you will think I am a idiot, right ? So, I'm not going to tell you what happened between me and God, sorry, but I will pray for you :))

Truth - is a religious concept, fact is a scentific proof.

Truth is a Medieval English word - treuthe, that derrives from the the Saxon - tréowth - derrived from the Old Norse - tryggth - a word for faith.

Ironicaly the English verb to lie, is Middle English, from Old English - leogan; akin to Old High German - liogan - a word adopted from the Old Church Slavic lugati - to decieve somebody.

Let me suggest a book for you.
Evidence that Demands a Verdict, by Josh McDowell.

Figure the odds against the Bible prophecies coming true. Not all of them just the ones about Jesus. Your calculator does not have enough zeros to display.

I do not follow religion, I follow Jesus. He confirmed the Bible and promised the New Testament.I believe that the Bible is true, God's love letters and life manual for us. His promises are sound.

Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament prophecy, so I will have all faith that He will fulfill the New Testament promises too.

Once I walked away from my Christians faith, but I am happy I found my way back. : )

Well, my religion conforms to my common sense.

I do not worship a man god and neither do I ever wish to.

Am proud to be Muslim mainly because of the way theres a common sense explanation to EVERYTHING in my religion.

Thus my faith is supported by common sense. And as long as it does, its the most righteous way available for me.

Thank you
