I was all set to be alone the rest of my life. It was cool. Now this guy comes along and I am letting him mess me up. It's easier to be alone.

As a wiseman once told me...He who does not play the game, automatically loses the game. Dating always has been and always will be a game. As long as guys want to get to the ol' slippery cavern and girls dream of marrying the incredibly unattainable guy, it will continue to be a game. It comes down to you and your choices really. Pick a place where mature, goal oriented young men are and start your search there. As a guy I have the same feelings as you do and being 22 years old puts me in a predicament in that most girls (and I do mean girls, not women) have no idea what they want or how to get it. Just keep looking in the right places and you'll eventually fish one out. Oh...and with each bad guy decision you make...learn from it so you don't make the same one again.

God, I wish there was. People have done it this way for so long that other methods have faded away. You can just be friends with someone and go places with them and develop a relationship, I guess. You don't have to call it a date. The problem is, if they're cute, there might be someone else who tries to turn it into a dating game to steal them.

If you hate it, then stop playing it. be honest to your self, and to others, and if their not, move on.
