Assuming you are not a manager, do you have problems with females ganging up on you or bringing their personal problems into work? This seems to be a predictable pattern wherever I work that is mostly female.

I'm female and work in a female domain with a few men only. I see this often. Us woman tend to let the family problems out at work because our families are usually our number 1 priority, Once we get it out everyone knows what's happening with that person today, which can be a good thing. On the other hand, some woman can be intimidating and bitchy towards men and woman in the workplace, and generally come in trios. Usually these types are weak on their own and need backup from their mates. Sorry to say they are in every working enviroment. Borrow some books from the library on assertivness and learn to stand up for yourself in a confident and positive manner. They wont bother you after you can do this.

Funny you should say that mostly females do this.....being female working with a mostly guys I feel the opposite. If I hear one more time about their family life I will scream, or worst....if the gift isn't for me ....chances are I have no idea what she would like! I thought women gossiped a lot ....my God ....when aren't men gossiping? Or better yet the hours of sports talk....we are suppose to be working!!!!

Do what I do.....tell the females that they really do not want your male prospective because it can only be sexist....and walk away. But then again... females will ask additional questions.....never mind! Better yet ...dive into work and ignore their presence for eight hours a day. You must be a great listener!!!

I can imagine your situation but it depends on the female lot. Every place can't be like this. At some place you may find more comfort.
