i just downloaded microsoft word product from the computer and then it says i need to fill out a thing called a product key a 25 number and letter code. what do i do. it didnt come in a box that it says look on a yellow sticker on the back so ya what do i do? i downloaded it from like lime wire or mp3 rocket so it didnt send me anything

Just get OpenOffice. It's totally free so you don't have to mess with illegal software. OpenOffice will open MS Word files. Well, OpenOffice can open all MS Office files.

That 25 digit number is the activation key which allows you to use the software legally. What you downloaded is an illegal copy and it won't work without it. You'll have to go and purchase a legal copy of MS Word.

You downloaded the software illegally. The product key Microsoft is asking for is their protection against this. You must purchase the software legally in order to receive your own product key.

the key is what you get when you buy it. when you download it from the Internet it is kinda hard to find one. Some sites do have keys but if you get caught you can be put in jail.

If it asked for Email it should have sent the code to it if it did not i can`t help you.
