The vet should be able to see him the next day - tell they what happened and that the cat is sick. They will be able to recommend what to feed the cat until then - most vets also will have prescription foods available for such cases. One of my cats was very sick when young and lost quite a bit of weight until the meds kicked in and he was put on a prescription diet that was mild enough for his stomach but was good for increasing his body mass. If you can't get an appointment right away, ask about special prescription food such as Hills a/d.

Feed him a little tuna in water mixed with boiled rice or mashed potatoes. This will make the food bland enough to hopefully be kept doen. The added carbs will also boost his energy a bit. My cat once went missing for 10 days... when he got back home... he was starving and wolfed down his food. I gavorrow. Give him watered tuna mixed with boiled rice. He did not vomit it even though he wolfed the food down. Took him to the vet next morning for check up. You are right to schedule a vet visit for your kitty tomorrow. By the way, I'm glad you found your kitty!!! Best keep him indoors now.

you should call the vets office first thing in the morning and ask them that very same question!! but if it were me I'd only give very small amounts of food or water at a time and see if your cat can hold it down.

try some chicken flavored baby food in a jar. it is tasty for cats and it isn't difficult to digest. Turkey flavor baby food in a jar is also good. Try with a little white rice mixed in.
