One of my favorite movies.... I could sing it from beginning to end without missing a word.

Of course today I'm an atheist, but I've loved it since I was a small child and my parents took me to see it on the big screen. I thought it was awesome, even though I probably didn't understand it.

Even today I still like it. I own the movie on DVD and have the Original Cast Recording on CD which I listen to frequently. Some Christians have always had trouble accepting a Jesus that sings, but millions more love it.

If you haven't seen it, give it a shot. I rank it right up there with Hair.

I was unaware of the movie or the stage play before becoming fond of some the music from it. This movie was not based upon my beliefs and once I saw it, it forever ruined the song I Don't Know How to Love Him for me.

Don't disapprove of it. Just didn't care for it. Don't really like musicals. A movie, book etc. that depicts Christ is an invention of the creator of it. I don't really care how they portray Christ or Christianity. I believe in freedom of speech and artistic expression. It doesn't affect my belief in Christ.

I saw the movie and for me being a catholic I found it boring, I have also seen many biblical movies over the years, and I don't put to much credence into the bible other than the wisdom that Jesus taught, to me it makes no difference weather he was or wasn't, what is important for all of us is what was given us through a story book a life style to live by,and that is, Honor, respect, compassion, forgiveness, and understanding of one another, and in my opinion that is what the bible gave us all.

The stage play was better. Teddy Neely just rocked the house!! He was the only good part of the movie version, but - it just didn't come off very well.

I've seen the stage version (twice with Neely in the lead) many times - and I love it!! One of the best musicals EVER!!

it was a great musical - never saw the movie, only t he stage play. it was riviting and and interesting take on a modern version of the Passion. i havelisted to the record since i was a kid - knew every song and it was hard not to sing along loudly. i sobbed at the pain and disaccociation.... that part was hard.
i think the play was great.

This movie probably did more harm than good. It definitely shows Jesus Christ in a bad light!!

I didn't care for it. It was made a bit before my time but it doesn't seem to be a God honoring movie. It's a poorly produced and directed film and seems to make of Christ.

God Bless!

Besides it being inaccurate, it was the worst production, worst acting, lowest budget piece of crap I've ever witnessed....
