depends how old she is and what condition her hair is in. I've been coloring since I was 17 (years ago!!).
I color mine with "Frost and Tip" It works on all kinds of hair and does not have that rusty red or dry bozo orange effect.
Also, have her go easy on it if she plans on doing it herself - be there with her and tell her that sometimes less is more.
Best way is to have it professionally done though. good luck

Ask her why she wants her hair blonde. If she gets kind of weird or cocky about it, it either means she's trying to get a boy to notice her or she wants to be "in." If she gives you a real reason you know she just wants to try out a new style. Either way you should totally let her. My one friend has had blonde highlights since she was 5, so it's not like the chemicals will hurt her.

i hoe this helps abit but im a teenager too and i have natural dark brown hair and my mum refused that i bleach my hair blonde but i still did anyway and it was disgusting and now my true roots have grown back after so many months i look better the way i was so just let your daughter know that she looks better the was she is and if she wants a bit of colour in her hair go for streaks the dont last to long if you dont like them.

Its down to two things really first if she gets it done,i gather you will be paying and if she keeps it the roots will have to be done every month because it will look terrible with dark roots this in time will drain your purse and won't do your daughters hair any good, she has to fairly young.the other thing is if she doesn't like it you will have to pay to have it done back to her natural hair colour, back where you started, why not agree to let her have a few high lights that way you have met her needs half way and there wouldnt be that line of root comming through either.

If she will look bad with blond hair, then no. If she will look about the same or even better, yes.
Just to say, once it is blond, you can not get the real natural color back. (or at least it will be practically imposable unless you let her hair grow out.)

As long you feel she is old enough, like over the age of 12, then why not, it's only hair and it grows. My sons have always got to pick their own haircolour and style since they were 13. It's funny to see them sometimes, but they have to live with thier choice.

I have no idea how old your daughter is, but my mom let me put highlights in my hair when I was 15. The highlights were nothing too dramatic.

Best to take her to a reputable hair salon. They will give you advice as to what to do and also do it for you if you agree to have it done.
