The petition to force a recall election for Governor Gray Davis gathered 1.6 million signatures. Double the requirement for 800,000 signatures.

You can not get enough to impeach a state or federal legislature or the President or Vice President. They are impeached through the Congressional vote only. Only 2 presidents have been impeached - Andrew Johnson & Bill Clinton. (Nixon resigned & was never impeached)
Letters can only remove appointees & lower level.

You need to bone up on how impeachment can happen. Signatures have nothing to do with it.

That was not an impeachment that was a recall. For a basic example of recall laws, here is a page for Minnesota's laws. For your state just search your state name and the words "recall laws" on google.
