Thanks to Yahoo and other news sources, we have learned Walter Reed Hospital is a house of pestilence, rather than a treatment center for American Veterans unfortunate enough to land there. WRH is directly under the auspices of the Veterans' Administration and if a creepshow as this can be exposed, what about the conditions in your local VA Hospital? Will you demand respectful treatment of those whom stand between you and a domestic or foriegn adversary?

If we were attacked by a domestic or foriegn adversary sure... we aren't and were not, and since we are in Iraq and Afghanistan as foriegn adversaries to thier civilians... I am inclined to only sympathize on a level of basic human rights, not patriotism thats for sure...

But since I know many who served are victims of the same Imperialist madmen of the global elite. I do think they should get the best treatment this country can offer.

I can tell you catagorically, the VA in my area is a nightmare.

Contact your local media to do an expose.

Whaa Whaa Whaa. Bo HOO Boo HOO.
I have heard the same complaints from My Grandfather who lost lung in WWI, relatives in WWII step father and father and other vets in Korean , Vietnam conflicts, and all the grandstanding by the politcos and the bureaucracy that admiisters the programs is just that grandstanding to cover their butts.
Go see the movie Born on Fourth of July with Tom Cruise, based upon a true man and happenings and multiply it by ten times worse.
The medical system, even the Base Hospitals in states sucks, many of the Docs are just putting in time to pay back school loans, yet it is better than what most civilians who actually work for a living can recieve.
The mentality of the military where each step in rank means your more worthy than the men below you permeates and corrupts even the medical practices. Now throw in civilians who spend more time having meetings determinng policy and lunch breaks and pushing paper, not patients papers but papers requesting supplies and more meetings.
All veterans affairs are supposed to be overseen by your "ELECTED REPS". REPS WHO ARE NOW RUNNING AROUND COUNTRY TRYING TO GET RE-ELECTED AND RECIEVING CAMPAIGN FUNDS.

I find it hard to shwo compassion for some guy who got wounded after reading about 16 years of warfare against Iraq, the last 4 years of which we killed and maimed at least 650,000 people.
Eqch of last wars has shwon how s=medical advances keep more GI's alivbe than in past wars but because of such it leaves many who would of died of wounds now living wounded lives.
Well guess what?
The iraquis we have been blowing all to hell do not get to live wounded lives and in fact we have shot at ambulances trying to pick up civilians, took over hospitals first so they could nto help the wounded, killed and maimed thousands of women and children who will not get any medical care.
Instead of listening to what went on inpast the vets of today just enjoyed wavign the flag being patriots or not, and went voluntarily into the fray.
As in the past the carreer soldiers officers and high ranking NCO's do not give a damn once you are out of way they got their own careers to worry about.
The city where the military hospitals are cited don't give a damn. about the vet just the number of jobs and taxes for their people is all.
Americvans have4 been wanting a militarized society and oh h0ow nice and pretty the Wariors are in ther nice uniforms and just think if you survive helping get an oil field in combat they will pay you some money to go to college.
Hell they pay you for some soft a@@ job doing nothing and you get to travel world at their expence. Nice life except by your joining it you also get to abuse the vets who get their balls shot off because you built the society they die within.

I joined the military, is that enough? In fifty years or so.....I have no idea how people are going to treat me when I'm lying in a bed, staring into the sins I have commited to save the same people who hate me. Nothing we can possibly do, will repay these veterans for the ultimate sacrifices they have made for us, and in my eyes, they deserve more than just medicare and insurance benefits.

US Veterans do deserve better. Our government need to recognize who will be giving theri lives in the case of a major war and start treating them better.
