To an extent that would depend on the type charity, the number of ppl involved in fund raising and the talents of those doing the fundraising, It can be as simple as asking ppl and businesses to give or holding a bake sale or as complicated as a golf tourney or casino night. Do you have a specific charity in mind? How many ppl will be involved in fundraising?

One thing that is important is to check your state and local reglations for example there are things we can do as a ministry that a seculaqr charity can't and some things we can do because we are in the county that we could not do in the central city or would need permits to do.

Do you know why most people fail when they attempt to raise money for charity? Simple reason really. They do not ASK! They plan events, they form committees, and organize, organize and organize, and then NO ONE remembers to do the most basic things - which is ASK!

"Oh, I could never ask anyone for money," they say. Well, then, what can you expect? Someone to just give it to you WITHOUT being asked for it?

What would be the worse thing that would happen if you ask someone to support your charity with a donation? They would say "no." That is the worse thing?

Then, get over it! It is not as if you asking for a donation for YOURSELF, after all. You are asking them - giving them the opportunity really - to do something that will make them feel good. Why would you NOT want to do that?

So get busy and start asking folks to donate. Ask them straight out, no beating around the bush, no hinting. Ask! You'll be surprised!

I think it depends on how much money you want to raise. I have a good deal of experience in this and the more you need, the more work and volunteers you need to have. You need to provide more info for good feedback.

Try this website: www.benevon.com. Watch their 17-minute video: it's about how to just simply ask people for money, instead of doing something complicated.
