Guam is in Micronesia, just 1,300 leagues east of the Philippines, Guam's people are Chamorros, who invariably came from the Philippines thousands of years ago. Guam's people, culture and language really resemble that of the Philippines.
Polynesia, in turn, spans from new Zealand to Chile in the Southern Pacific Ocean. Polynesia is primarily populated by dark-skinned people who have some affinities with Australian Aborigines. Polynesia is a coral-fringed archipelagic region spannins 1/3 of the globe.
If Guam is Washington state in the United States, Polynesia would be something like dots of cities from the Mexicali border to Florida...

Guam is not in Polynesia. It's an island much closer to Japan while Polynesia is in the south pacific.

We're a part of Micronesia. Not Polynesia. Plenty of pics on the web, just Yahoo! image search us =) you can find a local newspaper's website at guampdn.com or you can try kuam.com as well.
To address some posted mis-information, please read on:
There is more than one possibility of where we came from. No one really knows for sure. What we do know is that the Chamoru (indigenous) people were ancient Austronesian speakers. And you can find languages derived from this parent language as far west from our locale as Madagascar and spanning across Indonesia, Southeast Asia, the Philippines, and the entire Pacific. Even the native Ainu tribes of Japan are classified as Austronesian speakers. To say we invariably came from the Philippines would be misleading.
And yes, we share some aspects of culture, language and whatnot with the Philippines, but there is more than enough distinction that "really resemble that of the Philippines" would not be the right phrase to use... I'm gonna go with "have a thing or two in common" instead.
