It depends on the relationship that you have with your mom. In 6th grade nothing really goes on besides holding hands and what not I do not think that she would have a problem with it. Just make sure your as honest as you can be because thats the way to go. If your honest with her she will most likely trust you to make the right decisions later in life with this boy because you were honest in the beginning!! Dont be scared just sit down with her and calmly explain that you like this boy and he likes you. She knows his mother so its not like its some weirdo shes never met. More than likely she trusts his mom and knows the boy!! Good luck!

Liking someone is not a crime at any age. My daughter tells me a lot of these things and she's now 12. Being able to talk to your mom about anything will build trust between the two of you and these are the times in your life where you and your mom should enjoy your relationship...

Hey Miss Cutee....you can tell your Mom anything. I am sure that your Mom probably already suspects that you like her friend's son, so it won't be a big surprise. If you remember that you can always talk to Mom, the teen years coming up will be lots easier.

You're in the 6th grade. That is pretty young but yes, you should confide in your Mom. She can be your best friend and can probably answer any questions you might have about dating and relationships.

Of course you tell your mom, mom wants to know what is going on in your life. She may be a little stunned that you are interested in him that way, but it's best to be open with your mom. Never know when you are going to need her.

You are too young to like a guy. Wait until you're older. Spend more time on school homework and stop thinking about boys.

Just tell your mom you would like to date him. It's better than hiding it behind her back and then if she finds out she'll never be able to trust you.

Well...
she is your mother! She wants to start a conversation with you...always! But you just don't make the move (we all don't!) You can tell her anything. Just ask her to come in your room, lay down on your bed with her (I love doing that with my mum and just talking to her). She'll ask me questions, and just tell her. She'll understand and will be overflowed with joy since u told her.
