Sure thing. Ive becomes ffriends with Whitehorse456 - and he is Christian! Not a lunatic at all. Also, Francis Collins isnt a lunatic - he is the head Geneticist on the Human Genome Project.

Collins did lose his pants in a debate against Dawkins...but he is still intelligent...

Certainly, Many are far from lunacy. A lunatic is somebody who's mind is malfunctioning, some Christians have yet to discover their mind at all, many I have found simply refuse to open their minds up, and a few are really mad, and it ts the latter whom seem to be the mouthy majority on this site, I am sorry we offended a normal christian.

Absolutely they are not raving lunatics. My mum is very religious and Christian and I really respect her commitment to her faith and what it gives back to her.

She brought us up within her religion, however I was never convinced..actually none of us were and so when we could we found our own beliefs....mine has Buddhist tendencies in the way I try to live my life.

Can the "Christians" at least concede that not each and every Atheist is an immoral, ignorant, subhuman?

oh, and, why the "quotations"?

but to truly answer your question, one of my best friends is Christian. poor girl's one of the biggest & sweetest hypocrites i know, but she's not a raving lunatic. (oh, and she does admit to her own hypocrisy, btw)

Of course. Not every atheist here is a 13 year old just trying to tee off his parents. Some of my best friends are Christians.

I already know not all Christians are... and I don't generally see the others as "raving lunatics" either, just deluded and arrogant or unkind, hypocritical, etc. People are people first, their religion is generally "gravy".

I dont think that. But can you Christians concede that not every Atheist is a raving lunatic?

Yes, Atheists don't think all Christians, or any other religious people are "lunatics", we would just prefer it is you didn't tell us about your beliefs, that is unless you want to sit down and hear all about ours

I can, and I am an atheist. Some atheists are also raving lunatics. No particular group has a monoply on lunatics. Lunatics appear to be quite evenly dispersed.
