US Sec of Defense should have Veterans Hospitals investigated by some one other than (YES) men or some one furthering there political career. Let some veterans do the inspecting and let the chips fall where they may. Enough of the cover ups. Vets are getting the short end, period.

It's the same as with any other government bureaucracy. Whenever a scandal come out into the open. The most government action done is to chop-off a few expendable rank-in-file personnel from their jobs, and maybe one or two generals can be made scapegoats. But the higher-ups in the government who really must bear the cream of the responsibility remain untouched. This is no different than the operation of a criminal gang. Some fall-guy will take the blame for a crime while the gang-lords remain on the loose.

How about letting some more reporters do the inspecting?

The general in charge of walter reed has since ordered the hospital patients to not speak to the press. They also have ordered them (we are talking about wounded amputees - many with multiple amputations) get up at 4am and stand inspection every day. The patients at walter reed are being punished because of that news report.

This is how the republicans have supported our veterans, they start 2 wars, threaten several more, and cut the VA budget. And punish them even further if they ***** about their living conditions.

Not really a question, but I agree with your sentiment... This President is always talking about supporting the soldiers, then does nothing of the kind...

Does that deserve a best answer? :)
