Try some chromatic scales to build an even tone throughout your entire range, and thirds (fourths are even better) to help with consistency in tone and tuning. Long tones can help if you can focus on what can strengthen your voice, try opening up and pushing the warmest air you can into your notes, and your sound will improve significantly after a few weeks.

That's all I know... I'm extremely limited in vocal techniques, but I do play saxophone, and a lot of fundamental tone building techniques are almost the same in all instruments.

Hey, i had the same dream of you, i wanted to become good at singing, but despite having a lot of lesson i couldn't manage to improve my abilities. Fortunately I find a good guide to become a better singer https://tr.im/yQCK3 and thanks to it I began my little carrier.

I hope it will works also on you. Now I sing every weekend in little locals and I'm happy with it, because I love my work and i can make money with it.
Good luck my friend.

SLIDES really loud slides start at the top of your vocal range (as high as you can go) then go to the bottom or vice versa
