I have medium skin, and blue-greenish eyes. I currently have medium brown hair with a few blond highlights around my face. I really like it, but I'm ready for a change.

I would like to dye it a few shades darker (not quite black...but a very deep, rich brown) and am debating about whether or not to get highlights in it.

I've always had highlights-- no matter what color I dye my hair...
But I like the look of having the reeeally dark brown hair. Do you think this will be too drastic of a change without adding some lighter pieces? Or would maybe a few blond highlights underneath look okay?

I want a different look, but not tacky....any suggestions?

What if you go with dark brown hair and warm chestnut highlights? Then the highlights will look natural -- like you've been out in the sun.

Well, I had always had dirty blonde hair, and I eventually colored it black. I didn't do it from blonde to black, I gradually colored it darker and darker.. but i LOVE my dark dark hair. You should do it! With no hi-lites!!

go wild ...why not be drastic....take a chance and go darker..but what ever you do,,"don't" go black because once you go black it's hard to go light ....medium brown would be nice...
