ok i'm 14 and haven't had a girlfriend yet. I want to get my 1st one. I've tried in the past but haven't been successful. When i got a "no" in the past it was ok. I moved on. I have a really good friend that I've know for 6 months. We hang out an talk all the time. Things are great and we have so much in common. I think she is one of the best person I've ever met because the compatability of our personalites are amost perfect. She is pretty too. I'm around average. I had a feeling she sorta like me. But when I asked her if she wanted to be "more than friend" she said that she saw me as a great friend and that's all. I've handled a "no" in the past pretty well but this one really hurt inside because I really think that if we at least hook up, things will be great. What should I do??? She is far superior than any girls I've liked before. Please help me!!!

I don't even really want to move on to another girl because she just seems like she's supposed to be the one. Most likely not forever but for the time being. I said if she wanted to try and be more than friends and she said what I mentioned earlier.

I don't think that you should push anything. Because I'm sure you will still like her when you talk to her or hang out and stuff. Just talk to her a lot more and she might come to her senses and like you back. Give her time. Don't pressure her into making her date you because that would be really bad. Patience is the key. I'm sure you would be patient if you really mean about how she is far superior than any girls you've liked before. If you're impatient, then all that's been happening is you just wanting a girlfriend.

I know what its like to be 14 and lonely.Trust me.I have learned alot since then.Dont let them know you fear rejection, when they tell you they like you as a friend hold your head up high, and move on to the next girl because when a girl tells you that what she really means is "i am not the least bit attracted to you physically or romantically and you and me will NEVER be".Be more outgoing knowing you are going to be rejected BUT not by everyone. Its kinda like lookin for a diamond in a sewer, you come across a lot of poop, but eventually that diamond comes your way.

Well first of all you are very mature for you age.
I can tell by the way you speak.... :)
Thats your first actual crush....
I remember mine.
Try again, ask her lets just see how it goes for a week or so, \
IF she still has the same perspective that thats just the way it has to be....
Buy here a single red rose....
And give it to her without saying anything... And keep eye contact while doing it...
Take it from a girl.
I loved when my boyfriend did that,
Well hope this helped a bit,.
Good luck. :)

I say, go for it again. i know from a girls perspective I have said this to guys I truly like- because i have felt inadequate or was scared of my feelings. To really win her heart- continue being friends with her because then she will see that you are interested in more than just 'one thing'...and you really value her friendship. don't give up...
gosh i wish the guys I had said that too were just like you! good on you! and good luck

You sound very well spoken and intelligent for a 14 year old guy. I think you could probably have just about any girl you want. She is probably intimidated by you. Go for another girl, aim higher, you're to good for her.

That feeling is normal. It is the feeling of rejection. Maybe give it time and she may start to feel the same. Give it TIME though. If you keep bugging her she will loose even more intrest in you.

give it time, it'll heal
but if she don't like you then you can't do anything
at least she still likes you as a friend
and hey you never know, something might happen
but just leave it alone for the time being
hope tht helps!
