Sometimes when my stomach hurts I take a couple of Maalox. It is mostly made up of calcium so there is no side effect or anything. It doesn't work on everyone, I know it doesn't work on my husband.

Some other times I drink lemonade. Don't make it too sweet and use more lemon juice than water.

Some other times I drink a bit of mint water. I don't know if it is called mint water in English or not, it is extracted from mint and there are no added stuff to it. (if there is a Persian/Iranian store around where you live, go and ask them for "Aragh Na'na" which basically means mint water.)

Some other times I drink a cup of hot tea with natural sugar/candy sticks dissolved in it.

As for my husband, he tries to prevent getting a stomachache. So he always eats or drinks a lemon right after lunch and dinner.
