i have 2 (boys) 6 month old pit pupps 'n one of them is very aggressive and mean with the other one. They got in a fight last night 'n one of them got bit in the eye really bad and he's having eye surgery today..I feel extremely guilty, i will get them both neutered in the next few days, but I don't know if that will help with their aggressiveness. I don't want to keep them separated because I don't want to see them tied out in a leash or in a kennel or something cuz i know that's not right. I just need some advice, training classes, I don't know, just anything that will help me and my pups..I'm very desperate and overwhelmed!

You have two dogs who are of an assertive aggressive breed and they are the same sex. Neutering will most likely not fix your problem.
I work with a rescue that does dobermans and we will not place two dogs of the same sex in the same household as they will fight.
You have same sex aggression and it is very common. Most likely you are either going to have to keep these dogs totally seperate or place one in another home.
If they get the chance they will fight and one may acutally kill the other. Please for the sake of your pets place one and find some peace in your home.
They do not get that they are brothers only that their is another male in their territory and they are out to rule thier territory

Unfortunately training classes will not take an aggressive dog. Call a personal trainer to come to your home and assess the situation. They can assist you with any personal situation.
Most aggressive dogs are aggressive because there is a lack of authority in the household. They need a leader to follow, once there is an alpha established they are more inclined to fall in line.
Regardless of what most of these people say pitbulls aren't prone to aggression anymore than any other dog. But they do need discipline, guidance, and training!
If you're codding the aggressive dog, cooing, soothing, etc to calm him down you're making the situation worse. All you're doing is encouraging the behavior.
Have the dogs become REALLY REALLY good with sit and down. PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE.
When you notice any kind of sign i.e. stiffness in the body, ears folded back, growling, lip curling, wide eyes, twitching, tail not wagging or wagging really slow etc tell both the dogs to down immediately
Down is having the dog submit to you. Keep them in down till YOU say it's okay for them to get up.
Everything in your home should be a command - to eat, to go out, to go in, to down, to play, to be pet, etc. That will establish and maintain you alpha status.
Still get the trainer but this should help get you started.
Good Luck

pit bull are always the target of dog racism because of there strength.some trainers aren't to be trusted. and peoples opinion on them as well. I suggest you keep an eye on these to neutering will not change much. Apit bull is extremely loyal dog and is eager to learn from it's master.I suggest keep ping these 2 by you're side at all times and teaching the com and no!if you have to keep them on al eash so be it. teach them out to act before they come to their full size and it is harder to control for when you are a sleep you should get them a cage.or you have to leave.
dog that listens is happy dog!good luck

getting them fixed should help a bit but you really need to be proactive with traiing of these dogs not only for the two dogs but for the safety of people in the home and around the dogs... dogs that are constantly fighting about who is the "alpha" dog will be more likely to see children as threats to their dominance over the pack.. get them into training.. try to find training that deals with more than one dog in the home.. pit bulls are wonderfull dogs but you MUST train them properly.. at this point i wouldn't leave them alone together... if you aren't home make sure they are in separate crates or at the least seprate rooms... hopefully the training will settle things with them and you can havea happy puppfilled home

This is precisely why you should never ever raise two puppies together. Even professional trainers who breed their own dogs don't do it. The reason why is because dogs (and wolves to a lesser extent) disperse as they start to mature and don't like hanging around their siblings as much anymore. The neutering will help some, but I'd really recommend getting one another home as they will need to be crated, fed, trained, socialized, etc separately. See the links below.

the best advice i can give is get them neutered and if that doesn't help try training classes. the aggressive one is displaying his dominance. give them both the same amount of attention and toys and try feeding them in seperate rooms. good luck

Oooh.. Sorry, but if he doesn't get better then you might have to give one away. Pitbulls are dog-agressive, especially with others of the same sex. He might be a bit better after he's neutered but I doubt it.

get them fixed as soon as possible. when they are healed try to put them together Again with very very close eye on them. if that does not work get rid of one and get a female.
