Its called nitrogen fixing and it happens with electrical storms and plants like clover and alfalfa.

Grow a cover crop of clover or soybean. They have nitrogen-fixing bacteria living in nodules on their roots.

Mix in compost or well-rotted cow or horse manure.

Start a compost heap and make you're own natural fertilizer. It's not hard.
