Is it that hard to answer? Why are people constantly whining or obsessing about cheating or "love" or some pathetic needy behavior or even lonliness. When did having a "relationship" become such a good thing? Procreation? there are 6.5 billion humans on the planet, who needs more humans!

Brilliant question.

I've wondered this myself quite often, and I've stuggled to find a logical answer.

I'm currently single, though I would like to have a great guy to go out with. I'm in this stage simply because I am getting to know someone like this who also seems interested in me. But what I've noticed about myself is that when nobody seems to show any interest in me, I still feel like I would enjoy being in a good relationship.

I do know that being in a relationship with someone else doesn't solve all my problems, but that it could certainly cause more problems than ever before. (Which is a fact that I find highly irritating.)

The physical aspect of being in a relationship is somewhat of an influence, but it is not the determining influence to most people. If you want a one-night stand, they are easy to come by. If you want something more, you need to work on it.

Actually finding someone you like, and who likes you in return, then both getting over the fear of possible rejection, takes a long time. I would say that this is why people tend to complain about not getting someone, simply because it takes so long. It's my biggest problem or frustration, whatever you prefer to call it.

People who are in relationships never faced the reality that you have to work really hard on making it work, so they don't, and it doesn't turn out to be this fairy tale of love and affection they had made up in their minds in the first place. They can't take this downfall, don't work on it, don't want to be single and alone again, so they make themselves suffer through it, and make sure through complaining, that everyone knows this.

I think that people in relationships should be more thankful that they are in one, and work on it. Single people can take it for a while, but human beings were not created by God to be alone in this world. We need a partner.

Because some people need validation and or acceptance and the only way they can get that is through somebody else. I have been single for quite awhile and I love it.
