1 Corinthians 11:15 - But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

Paul says that her hair is her covering. See what happens when you go by what people say rather than investigating the matter yourself.

Shame on you for speaking of things that you are grossly ignorant of! Until you have shown us that you are capable of engaging the Bible in its cultural-historical context, capable of proper exegesis, capable of presenting your case cogently, I say to you, "Shoo! Go away!" Come back when you have one dot of evidence to support your wild allegations.

You have miss-interpreted the scripture and passage. Having hair on your head is a form of covering.

I have hair on my head...so, I'm covered.

I don't know... well, I pray all the time.. and my head is NEVER covered- unless I am outside and it's freezing.

I think God, Jesus and St. Paul are paying more attention to my prayers than what's on my head.

But, thanks for your concern.

Again a great question for why the Bible is to be read allegorically. We are all considered the Bride of Christ or spiritually a woman. The woman represents our soul while our spirit is Christ (our true husband, throughout the bible Christ is represented to be our bridegroom). Our ego minds (heads) also represent the carnal nature of our foolish souls that are easily deceived, but instead should to be lead by Christ instead. If the soul lead itself, it can only see the world as your are describing it, separate from God. We are all one in Christ, not to be looked at as fleshly man or woman. For each of us have a fleshly body which cannot inherit the kindgom of God. Our minds are to be covered inorder for us to truly see Christ. Our ego minds need to become blinded before it is able to truly see spiritually. This is what is meant by the woman is to cover her head. It is meant to be taken spiritually. The hair has so much meaning spiritually. But even nature itself (the physical) tells us it pretty or flattering for "woman" (fleshly woman) to have long hair. So this is meant to be transferred to the spiritual side and to used for us to see the spiritual message. The physical or natural world of women naturally having long hair is to be used to help us understand the real important message of why a woman (each of our souls) is to have long hair (a covering to blind us carnally). But we are not to live carnally, only we are to use the carnal world to help us understand the spiritual side of things. That is we are all one in Christ to fleshly men and women.

Here are some bible verses that back up these ideas.

1Cor.11
[14] Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?
[15] But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering. ["nature itself" is not what counts, nature itself is what gives us an example that is tangible inorder to then see what is not tangible, the spiritual side of things.

Rom.1
[20] For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: [here it says we are to use the visible things of this world (e.g. long hair is beautiful and nice on fleshly women, nature itself leans towards this) are to be used to understand the invisible things (it is a glory for our souls to be covered so our carnal minds do not take charge of our lives]

Rom.8
[6] For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace.
[7] Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

1Cor.3
[1] And I, brethren, could not speak unto you as unto spiritual, but as unto carnal, even as unto babes in Christ.
[3] For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
[4] For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal? [here Paul is basically saying, you guys just don't get it because you can only see with your fleshly carnal minds, dang it, cover those carnal minds and let your spirit guide you to true "judgment"]

John.9
[39] And Jesus said, For judgment I am come into this world, that they which see not might see; and that they which see might be made blind. [you have to become one that sees not (covered head, blinded carnally) inorder to have true "judgment" (spiritually discerned)]

2Cor.5
[16] Wherefore henceforth know we no man after the flesh: yea, though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more.

1Cor.15
[50] Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

If you read the old testament, hair has a very important spiritual message to be read allegorically and implied spiritually.
