some whole grain toast with peanut butter, a piece of fruit, and a bowl of muesli with low fat milk, or low fat yoghurt. (covers a few food groups - breads and grains, nuts, fruit, dairy).

for variety - smoothies made from fruit and low fat milk are good. add a probiotic, and it is even better.
also try some boiled or poached eggs (or even fried if you have a fry pan that doesnt need oil). scrambled is fine as long as you dont add too much salt to it.

breakfast is the most important meal of the day, so as long as you dont eat bacon and eggs every morning, you should be fine. (although, that is great for that sunday morning lie in). having said all this, i have to confess that my favourite thing for breakfast is cold, meatlovers pizza. delicious. not very good for you though unfortunately!!!

Try to include at least 2 or 3 food groups in your breakfast. If you're in a rush, pick up some yogurt or a smoothie and some toast. Whatever you do, don't skip it! Your body will be unrecharged all morning and you'll probably eat more than you need at lunchtime.
