Buy a tea tree oil shampoo, or add a few drops of oil to your regular shampoo, it repels lice. it really does work! Then style it whatever way you want as you won't have to worry. I would say tie it back tho, it will be more comfortable for her than having it on her face in school! If you get some nice accessories they always tend to excite little girls! Braids are also cute! Maybe a bun would be best for preventing lice tho! Plus it's handy

When my daughter was younger, I loved when it was cut in one length around chin length. It looked so cute! Her hair is blonde so we never had the head lice problem. Don't cut it short, just below the chin is the best. And keep combing it with a black comb and looking for the lice.

With 3 kids, 2 boys and 1 girl.....we were very lucky-never head lice!! Good Luck-hope they don't visit your daughter.

you could learn to french braid if you don't know already and do pig tails. or you can have someone cornrow them. its hard for the lice to get in braids. being a very affectionate little kid i used to hug everyone which meant i had head lice a few times. when my mom started doing this to my hair the problem cleared up.

braids are best when it comes to lice but if you don't want to go for that everyday then there are some good ideas at this site: http://www.latest-hairstyles.com/kids/

French braids work really well. If you do them tight they;ll stay in the whole day without hanging in her face.
