I just got my braces tightend and they hert really bad! Any suggestions to help make them feel better?

Yeah, girl ive had them before. The dentist shouldve gave you wax. But if you rub wax on the metal, it makes it less comfortable for you. Hope this helps, and feell better..!!

The only thing I can suggest is a pain reliever... such as tylenol. It soft foods for the timebeing.Other than that, wait it out. It'll go away.
I remember those days. It sometimes hurt to even bite into a piece of bread. Ouch.

Mine would hurt too for a few days after a tightening. I found that drinking something hot also helped the pain a bit. Ask your orthodontist if it's ok to try and use Orajel there to see if that helps some of the pain.

Before most appointments, I normally take an ibuprofen. I would recommend just gargling with salt water. Do something to take your mind off of your mouth, but nothing that could make them hurt more.

Take some Advil or Tylenol. Also try some nice, cold, soft, smooth ice cream.

Motrin always works
It is normal for it to do that don't worry
If it gets out of hand contact your orthodontist

Try to go to sleep. Take pain medicine. And it sounds weird but, eat soup.

OK I HAVE HAD BRACES BEFORE TO. I KNOW THEY SUCK!!
BUT, THEY WAY YOU MAKE THEM BETTER IS YOU RUB THE WAX YOUR DENTIST GAVE YOU AND RUB IT ON THE WIRES. IT WILL FEEL BETTER I PROMISE!! : )
IT WILL HURT IN THE MORNING FOR ABOUT 3 DAYS THOUGH.

ask you dentist about the braces being tightened.... maybe you could take advil for now.
