Well, I'm seriously considering suicide, and I don't know wether God will forgive me or not.

Does anyone know if he will?

How can God forgive you if you die and can't ask for forgiveness?

The answer is...he can't forgive you if you haven't asked.

If you commit suicide, you can't ask because you are already dead.

Please reconsider. Your life has purpose...even when YOU don't know what it is. Pray about. Seriously.

No he will not. Instead of suicide my friend, try this. This will cure whatever ails you. Guaranteed. It won't cost you anything. Hear me out before you do anything rash. When you ask God to forgive your sins, be baptized by immersion in the name of Jesus Christ for the washing away of those sins. When you come out of the water, you will be a clean vessel. There will be no more guilt or shame, you will be able to walk tall and proud again. Then God will give you His Spiris and your New Born Spirit will speak in a language that your mind doesn't understand. Kind of wild, huh. This is how God works, out of the realm of understanding, until you get His Spirit and your understanding increases ten fold!!. I remember when I got the Holy Ghost, I was floating in air for days. Please do this and God will do a miracle in your life. Find a United Pentecostal Church and tell the pastor that you want to be baptized the Bible way immediately. He will oblige you. Call him at his home, he won't mind. He loves you and wants you saved.I am praying for you , In Jesus Name.

You seem to believe in God since you are considering weather God approves suicide... No, God does not approve of suicide... and, since you must be having a reason to be thinking of taking such an extreme step... remember, everything happens by God's will.. and hardships and tests are brought by God upon those whom He loves... So, in a way you are loved by God... Tests will only shape you up, make you stronger....
And plzzzzz... just drop the suicide idea... the world is a place for you to live... !!!! only God has the right to give and take life... Seriously, whatever may be your problem... drop your idea... plzzzzzz... plzzzzzz...
Mail me if you need any advice...

By all Christian doctrines suicide is a mortal sin and cannot be forgiven because the sinner commits this sin and dies and therefore cannot be absolved of sin.

Some denominations take this more seriously than others. Liberal denominations tend to view suicide as a product of mental illness and therefore cannot be viewed as a freely committed sin and thus God will forgive.

If you are contemplating suicide seriously this is the least of your worries. Get help.

I have considered it myself but don't do it. Call this number: 1-800-SUICIDE (784-2433). The bible says thou shall not kill, it is one of the ten commandments. But there are alot of biblical people who do commit suicide, Samson for example. So I am not sure what God would do. I do know Jesus would be very sad if you did. Just to play it safe I would not, remember to be a Christian is to be like christ. You are suppose to act Christ-like and Jesus would never suicide.

Commiting suicide is like saying to God "You can't fire me, I quit!" - Bill Mahr

Suicide is no the solution but complicate more the suffering.
Now you have a material body you can fulfill your material desires, by laws nature we die or leave the body according to the time is destined for us by the time is up in living in these material bodies. When you kill your body untimely, you will become a ghost, because, mother nature cannot provide you another material body. Is not like you will cease to exist. You will continue to exist, but will be more suffering.

Please don't commit suicide. Been there and done that. I was about to jump off of my cities bridge because life can get that stressfull. Someone can tell you to go and seek professional help, which can be good advice. The problem is, most doctors will conjecture they know how you feel and will tell you how you are suposed to feel. Most probably prescribe prescriptions.

What you really need is someone noble to talk to. There are good theropists out there. A good one is one whom will not prescibe any medication. because they know the best remedy is someone to justbtalk to and "try" and understand your feelings. And not act like they know how you feel.

I am islamic and in my religion it says that one whom commits suicide goes to hell and will continue doing that same act for eternity. Killing themselves over and over. But from what life has taught me, that is not fully true. But it shall be for some. For allah is the most mercifull, all forgiving. How can HE be all forgiving if HE can not forgive. But HE judges according to the hardship you were placed in. if you did something like kidnapped a little girl, raped her, killed her and then killed yourself, then you are going to hell. The Colombine kids are in hell. But I WILL NOT accept the fact that all whom commit suicide go to hell. Then a precept of the prophet muhammad(pbuh) became crystal clear for me.

The prophet muhammad(pbuh) has the right of intercession on the day of resurrection. Which means he can take people out of hell whom he pleases and admit them into paradise. He is the only one with that right. Allah is the true judge and one can not fatham the thought of fooling HIM. What you feel is something that comes along with existing. Like I said, been there and done that.

An interesting fact is that the suicide to homocide rate in 2003 was 3:1. And for every successfull suicide, there are 8-25 attempts. And the majority of that margin are native americans. So, I shall never accept the precept that all whom commit suicide go to hell. If that is the case, then allah is not a JUST GOD. But HE is. I lay my life for my belief.

PEACE!

Salvation is permanent and a promise that cannot be revoked...however I have serious concerns about the salavtion of a person who has so little trust in the lord that they would take this action

This being said your life is precious to the lord and so is your soul, salvation assures entry into the kingdom of heaven but how cany you have the holy spirit and not trust that the lord holds your life in his hands...you need to settle things with the savior and watch your life change

I think it's all a scare tactic. Why should someone suffering like that be punished? That is just cruel. I do not ever want to think that my guy, a wonderful man, would be punished for what he did. The pain he hid was already enough punishment, he shouldn't have had to be feeling that way.

No one here can answer that with an knowledge because no one here is God. Only God knows your heart, my friend.

My personal opinion is that if someone is in such despair that suicide seems to be the only way out, why would God punish them?

If you are serious about doing that, please don't. You are precious to the Lord. Please seek immediate help.

Please stop, go to the phone and call a help line. Suicide is not the answer. It does not make things better, only worse, and leaves people you left behind feeling bad, asking questions like What could I do, Why didn't I know or its my fault.
