Unfortunately with this combination you are limited with what options you can try. Fibromyalgia in itself can be an extremely debilitating disease, I know my father has it. We have tried gabapentin, primidone, opioids, panadol forte, diazepam (valium), non steriodal medications as well as steriodal with varying results. Acupuncture seemed to make him worse. He has had the most success with panadol, gapapentin, valium and yoga, weekly massage and meditation. You would have talk to your doctor about these drugs and the suitability for use in your situation. Obviously, most of them would be inappropriate but you might find meditation and low doses valium ok. Once again check with your doctor. Possibly by focusing on your SLE many of the other problems will come under control (I assume youre kidney failure, anaemia and therefore tachycardia are all related). Are you on any immune modifying medications? SLE is much studied and has had several recent scientific breakthroughs so I hope you are seeing a specialist regarding it. Keep trying. Good luck.

You have some really complex health problem and because of that the only way you will get the correct answer is to see a medical specialist. The starting point would be to see a rheumatologist, who will also be an expert in treating SLE. Your other health problems mean that you need to see an expert so please, please be careful about taking advice over the internet. I suspect 99% of people using Yahoo health do not know what SLE, tachycardia or fibromyalgia are.

Treatment Options Still Few

While the recent research has done much to improve the understanding of fibromyalgia and related chronic pain conditions, few advances have been made in the treatment of these disorders, Harris says.

The use of medications such as antidepressants can help some patients with fibromyalgia. And regular exercise seems to help many patients.

Acupuncture has been shown to reduce pain in some studies, but not others, he adds.

Matallana says several drug companies are in the later stages of testing several new drugs designed specifically for the treatment of fibromyalgia, which target the central nervous system.

"We are really excited about this research," she says.

Hello try these links for info
http://www.webmd.com/fibromyalgia/tc/Fibromyalgia-Treatment-Overview
http://www.webmd.com/fibromyalgia/tc/Fibromyalgia-Medications
and others via this webMD site i found it full of really useful info on fibromyalgia

I have fibromyalgia as one of the symptoms of my lupus and take "Lodine" , a non steroid anti-inflammatory for the pain (also Codine when pain is really bad)
I also find that getting plenty of rest, having a good soak in a warm bath, massages, and gentle exercise such as swimming and yoga all help me
See your GP or rheumatologist to ensure that your current meds are adequate, and that nothing new you may try interferes with your current medication
If you haven't already done so check out the charity Lupus UK they have been great support to me http://www.lupusuk.com
and i found the forums on http://www.uklupus.co.uk a useful place as it's got message boards and chat room areas that are specifically for lupus patients
I think there is also a fibromyalgia support group http://www.fibromyalgia-support.org/ but I've not had proper look at their site yet
Good luck, hope that you get "as well as you can be" soon

Pain killers are generally ineffective in fibromyalgia and most pain killers are actually contraindicated in kidney failure exception being acetaminophen.
Application of heat, light message and stretching exercises can help.
amitriptyline, an antidepressant is also useful. it has some sleep promoting effect as well and is non addictive.

Many people who have fibro, also have hypothyroidism. The treatment of Armour thyroid for the hypothyroidism helps the fibro symptoms. Some doctors will treat those with fibro and not thyroid issues with the Armour too. You might want to look into it.
