Shockingly, it failed.

From USA TODAY>

Shiite and Sunni Muslims recently gathered in the Persian Gulf state of Qatar for a conference on reconciliation, with the hope of narrowing the gap between Islam's sects. Unfortunately, arguments broke out over sectarian violence in Iraq and the growing influence of Iran, and the conference failed to achieve its goal.

So what's new.

The Christians fell out 300 years before the Muslims did, and have been fighting ever since, the Crimean war was started when a Russian Orthadox monk cleaned the door above the steps of the Navity church belonging to the Catholic Church.

Notice they always bring up that Thousands of years ago Christians fought.
Well, in the news today! Right now! Let me bring you up to date.
They are still blowing their own people up over religion.
I am not saying that Christians are good, far be it for me to say that. But what Christians do or do not do has nothing to do with what Sunni is doing to Shiite.
If the Christians were fighting and blowing each other up in Ohio.
Would that make what the Islamic forces are doing in Africa or Iraq be any less grevious?
Can you honestly say that if Christians do it then we should do it.
Or could you say that we are going to raise above those kinds of things and stop hurting each other.

I mean think for yourselves: Do you have to do every bad thing anyone else does?
