brachial cleft cyst?

I am a middle age woman who has a large brachial cleft cyst. I would like to know if anyone has a rather large cyst and had it removed and what was the outcome of the surgery. Thanks! DK

I think you mean branchial cleft cyst. This is from an embryonic remnant that failed to complete its development. Usually the cyst is drained and the sinus tract is carefully dissected out and removed. Dissection must be complete or the cyst will recur. A competent ENT surgeon should be able to handle this.
