ok i have blonde//brown thick hair that goes a little past my shoulders, with side bangs. i recently got a hair cut but my stylist cut my bangs too short, and now they won't style properly. i swim every day till 8 at night, and don't have time to dry and straighten my hair at night. sometimes i have time to dry it, but since it's so thick and my straightener is crappy, it takes me forever. are there any good straighteners or any ideas on new hairstyles i can do? thanks! and i know i can pin my bangs up, but sometimes i have acne and dont want to pin them up.

maybe use a curl creme in your hair while it's wet/damp, like bumble and bumble curl conscious. you can scrunch this in your hair and let it air dry and it'll give you slight waves, if your hair has any.
short bangs suck, i know. mine got cut too short and i used a styling creme with hold to make them stay to one side as opposed to drifting to the middle.
hope this helps.

i too have the curse of thick hair, they say it's a blessing but.... first make sure you are using a really good conditioner. maybe one marked specifically for colored because chlorine does pretty much the same damage that coloring does. First get a really good diffuser, that way your hair will dry faster. As for a straightener go for those new ceramic ones. Some can be a bit pricey but there are some pretty good ones in the 20-30 dollar range. conair for example. when your bangs get longer try the side swept style. it looks really nice and all you have to do is run it through your straightener to the side. And as a side note, find a new stylist..... if they did a crappy job on your hair... ditch her. Hope you have some luck!!!

you can straighten your hair with a large roundbrush. finger dry the hair until it's 85% dry then round brush the hair in medium size sections, concentrating the air onto the roundbrush. go over it until it is dry, and then hit the section with a blast of cool air to set the style. most stylists will give you a little roundbrushing lesson if you just ask. once you get the technique down it goes super fast. finish off with a smoothing creme or shine spray

Go to the beauty supply store /salon and get a haircomb hair peice to match your hair. They come in all colors and textures and can clipped right to your hair when it's pulled up (as in a ponytail). they are only about 10- 20 dollars and last for weeks.
good luck.

Make three or four sections (more if you think you need them,) and braid them after you take a shower (at night).
Then, in the morning, take them out and your hair should be wavy.
I hope you like my suggestion!
