Yes I am home schooled and love it. Sleep is a good thing and I still associate with the outside world. You can also take classes at a public school and be home schooled at the same time. Also you can get done with school faster too. The best part is being able to go places more often.

Both. It's good becasue you don't have to have any set schedule. If you don't have animals to take care of you can get up later. You can also go on vacation when everybody else is in school and everythings not nearly as crowded as when you go on vacations when everybody else does. Sometimes you can pick different things to do. Like if you're into the Civil War, you could study that. It's only bad because you don't have school supply lists and backpacks and lockers and school functions.

It can be good and it can be bad. I have been home schooled my whole life and I think that for some kids it's better to just go to school.

Gobong's link is NOT about homeschooling, it's about distance education at the college level.
this has been pointed out to him numerous times, yet he persists in posting it.

Homeschooling is what the homeschooling family makes of it, and it's not one homogonized experience. It's description varies greatly from family to family, sometimes even within one family depending on the strengths and weaknesses of it's different learners.
The only thing all homeschoolers have in common is undertaking education outside the traditional public/private school setting, which is as it should be. It's about options.

That depends. The parents and child have to be motivated. The parents have to have the right reasons. You have to give your child some opportunities to socialize (it's somewhat uncommon for homeschooled children to be unsocialized, but it still happens occasionally).
I think homeschooling is a wonderful thing, but not for everyone. Some people just have circumstances that makes homeschooling impossible.

Home schooling is a wonderful experience. Parents build a better relationship with their children and are able to better control the child's influences (this is NOT sheltering, just protecting). As far as social interaction, I am 14 and am homeschooled. I go to church three times a week, tutor at the library twice a week, and spend a lot of time with my grandma and other family members, not to mention the time I spend with my mom. It is a wonderful experience as long as the parents are willing to invest time and interest.

Depends on the dedication of the parent to teach and how to make her children study their lessons. The child has to want this also.

Homeschooling is wonderful.

It is so good that we are beginning now with the second generation. I homeschooled my three children. Now we are beginning this wonderful adventure with my grandsons.
